We are delighted to announce the launch of our first Annual Report. 2020 was both – exciting and intense- and we have many reasons to feel proud of what we have accomplished throughout this challenging year.
We have significantly grown our human capital, established interdisciplinary research groups and research clusters in many important areas, awarded more than € 2.7 million in funding for AI Ethics research, expanded our partnerships around the world, led the way in the creation of the Global AI Ethics Consortium and the Responsible AI Network – Africa, authored several policy-focused research briefs, hosted numerous events, opened new opportunities for collaboration with other organizations and seized every opportunity to address the importance of AI ethics.
The IEAI 2020 Annual Report is much more than a year-end summary. It’s about who we are, what we do and how we are succeeding. It is also the first chapter of our story and will be the valuable compass for our journey ahead.
