The Director of the Institute for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Dr. Christoph Lütge, has been appointed as Member of the Academic Committee of the Institute for AI International Governance (I-AIIG) of Tsinghua University, China, and as Advisory Board Member at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Law & Society (CAILS) of GLA University, Mathura, India.

TUM IEAI partners with Volkswagen on AI Ethics

In July, the IEAI signed a Letter of Intent with the Volkswagen Group Machine Learning Research Lab (Argmax AI). The letter formalized our collective effort in promoting AI Ethics by bridging the gap between high-level ethical requirements and applicable in the field of ethical AI. The partnership will focus on algorithmic auditing through a joint Master’s thesis project.
