Past Events

The inaugural session of  the TUM IEAI Speaker Series  will take place on 13 December 2019, 10am, at the Hochschule für Politik in Richard Wagner Straße 1, Munich. The topic for this first session will be "Designing Fair Artificial Intelligence for Managing Employees: A Review, Critique, and Design Agenda".

The second session of the TUM IEAI Speaker Series  will take place on 18 December 2019, 10am, at the Hochschule für Politik in Richard Wagner Straße 1, Munich. The topic for this session is When Is It Not Unethical For AI to Lie to Humans? Trust-based Theory and Empirical Evidence.

On 31 January the IEAI will be hosting a workshop on the new guidelines issued by the Data Ethics Commission. Our special guest Paul Nemitz, Principal Adviser of the European Commission in Brussels, was closely involved in drafting the new guidelines.

The February session of the TUM IEAI Speaker Series will take place on 19 February 2020, 10am, in room H.001 at Hochschule für Politik, Richard Wagner Straße 1, Munich. The topic for this session is Autonomous Vehicles, Safety and AI.

In the light of the current Coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to postpone the May session of the IEAI Speaker series. We hope to annocue new dates later this year.

We are pleased to announce that the speaker for this session is Professor Joanna Bryson. The topic for this session is Artificial Intelligence Is Necessarily Irresponsible.
